Salsa in Toscana is an initiative of LeuvenSalsa!. LeuvenSalsa! is a Leuven based salsa school that was founded in 2005 by Carl Hourcau. LeuvenSalsa! organizes group classes, private classes, parties, practise moments, events (Leuven Salsa Day 1&2).

Day 0: arrivals in Prata, showing around, collective ‘spaghettata’ (big spaghetti meal)
Day 1:

10-12.30am, class

3-5pm, Italian for beginners (teachers: Carl and local people)

5.30-7.30pm, class

after dinner, party in Prata (or in another salsa club)

Day 2:

10-12.30am, class

free afterwards

Day 3&5:

like day 1

Day 4:

10am, Tuscan cookery class (with local cook)

5.30-7.30pm, class

Day 6:

like day 2

Day 7:

like day 1 but with first goodbye party after dinner

Day 8:

day trip: discovering the ‘Monte Amiata’ area and the Regional Park of Maremma with a guide

Day 9:

like day 1

Day 10:

free day

Day 11:

Day 12:

like day 2 but with final goodbye party after dinner

Day 13:

Of course it is possible that this program gets modified or adapted on demand of the participants but this will be the general structure.

Welcome to the “Salsa in Toscana” website!

“Salsa in Toscana” is a new initiative of LeuvenSalsa! proposing intensive salsa stages in summer in a wonderful area in Tuscany, Italy. During 7 or 12 days (depending on your choice) you’ll enjoy the classes of experienced and committed instructors and at the same time you’ll discover a beautiful part of Tuscany. Ideal for people who love salsa and Tuscany (or Italy in general).

We’ll be staying in Prata, a small medieval village on top of a hill, with a wonderful panoramic view on the coast and the surrounding hills and woods. There will be days with lots of salsa and days in which you’ll have the occasion to visit the area (the coast is 25′ away, Massa Marittima is ten minutes away, Siena, San Gimignano and Volterra are an hour away).

If you’re looking for an intensive salsa stage, if you like (or if you want to discover) Italy and Tuscany and if you like holidays in which not everything is organised for you, then this might really be something for you!
